What is better, beard oils or beard balms? & What are the benefits of beard oil vs. balm? And best practice.
The short answer is, It all depends on your needs and essentially the length of your beard. Beard balm is more for styling and conditioning your beard when it's long. While beard oil is more for basic beard care and to stop irritation from stubble or short hair. After washing your beard, towel dry and place a few drops or as desired onto the palm of your hand rub together and work into your beard, ensuring that you get right down to your skin underneath. Brush thoroughly with a comb or brush, use throughout the day as desired.
Best Practice
Many men swear by, including me, wash your beard with beard soap, then, when your beard is towel dry, warm up a few drops of beard oil in the palm of your hand and apply to your beard, ensure each hair is coated by using a beard comb, leave it for 5 minutes to get that oil fully soaked into the hair. Then, apply a beard balm to style into shape and lock in the moisture from root to tip.
Repeat these steps every day and you will notice the difference, and your partner will too.
